Integrative Epidemiology, LLC is a research consulting company which was incorporated in Fall 2008, after being founded by Dr. Susan Colilla, a genetic epidemiologist, in January 2006. Our company’s mission is to provide high-quality, independent consulting services which will facilitate the advancement of both biomedical research and public health. Our woman-owned, small business also strives to conduct its business in as eco-friendly a manner as possible, recognizing that our environment is a precious resource that has an impact on public health.
Dr. Colilla has over 12 years of research experience in both the epidemiology and human genetics of chronic diseases. She has consulted for pharmaceutical companies and industry in the areas of genetic marker discovery for breast cancer, the efficacy of genome-wide association analyses for chronic disease, and has developed comprehensive literature reviews on both environmental and genetic risk factors for disease. She also has partnered with other scientists at Venebio to expand available consulting services in genomics, biomarker development and personalized medicine.
